For the Love of Music

Come and listen to some wonderful music. Two workshops will be held on the last Friday of the month between 1pm and 3pm. Transport is available to workshops, but please book this in advance. These workshops are free to members, or $5.50 for non-members.

Marches & Gallops - Friday, 23 July, 1pm-3pm

Gallops appear in some ballet music of Adam and even opera of Rossini. Starting as music to stir troops heading into battle, marches soon found their way into the theatre, brining their solemn dignity and joyous excitement to the high drama and spectacle of opera. Enjoy the music of Schubert, Mendelssohn and others.

What a Woman - Friday, 27 August, 1pm-3pm

Listen to performances of popular female artists and performers such as Joan Sutherland and Diana Doherty. We will hear the music of Sanit-Saens, Massenet and many others.
