Groovy Grandparents Playgroup

This playgroup is for grandparents and grandchildren from 0 to 6 years. This term the playgroup will run for 10 weeks.
Caring for Kids First Aid
Sunday, date TBA (during Term 4), 9am-5pm
This St John Ambulance accredited first aid course is designed to meet the needs of parents, grandparents, carer's in the child care industry and members of the public who may be entrusted with the care of babies and children.
Transition to Kindergarten
Tuesday, 10 August, 7pm-9pm
What can we do to prepare children and families to start school? This session will explore questions in relation to age, readiness and choosing and becoming involved in your child's school. Some local schools will be represented and information on local schools will be available on the night. To book in phone 9719 8102. The venue will be Concord Library, Wellbank Street, Concord. The facilitator is Katie Helby from the Infants Home.
Transiting New Territory: First Time Parents
Saturday, 28 August, 11am-1pm
This new free workshop is called Now we are our own Family. It is for local couples who are going to be first time parents. The session is for couples to explore together moving from what your learnt in the past about how families work, to making choices about how you want your own new family to be. Babies younger than 6 months are most welcome to attend with their parents.
The workshop will be held at the Drummoyne Occasional Child Care Centre at 10 Cometrowe Street, Drummoyne. It will be run by Child and Family Health Nurses Sydney South West Area Health Service. Download Enrolment Form (Word).
