Tea & Chat
Drop In Morning Tea
On the first Friday of each month a community morning tea is held between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Come along and have a cuppa and a chat. The morning tea is free to members. We can organize transport to enable you to attend - just let us know in advance if you require this. The transport cost is $2. The Centre will be open on Friday 6 January for our usual drop in morning tea. From February the drop in starts with a community information workshop for the first hour.
The dates and topics are:
- 6 January - Drop In Morning Tea only.
- 3 February - 10.30 till 11.30. Being Safe. 20 minute presentation followed by open discussion led by Senior Constable John Tikisci. Covers safety in the home, scams that target the elderly, personal safety etc.
- 2 March - 10.30 till 11.30. Launch of DCC Transport Access Guide and information on cycling projects.
- 13 April (6 April is Good Friday) - 10.30 till 11.30. Sharing Your Memories. Share your memories of our area. Stories, anecdotes and recollections will be recorded and added to the oral history collection of Canada Bay. Oral history provides a picture of the past in people's own words. Everyone has a story to tell, come along and share your story of living in Canada Bay! Facilitated by City of Canada Bay Museum and Concord Library.
The morning tea will follow until 12.30pm.
Please RSVP during the week for catering purposes.
